Where is the Mas?
The hamlet of Souteyrannes
Le Mas du Coupétadou is located 5 km from the heart of the village of Vialas between the hamlet of La Planche and the Col de Banette. The hamlet has about ten houses but we are only 4 permanent residents (not counting our animal friends).
The Cévennes National Park
The Mas du Coupétadou is located in the Cévennes National Park, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its characteristics of preserving the landscapes shaped by agro-pastoralism. It is located at the foot of Mont Lozère, on the last southern slope. It benefits from a privileged location on a rocky promontory, the hamlet of Souteyrannes, sheltered from the prevailing winds. Exposed south-south east, it is bathed by the sun while being protected by a plant cover. Le Coupétadou is an establishment recommended by the Cévennes National Park and marked National Park Spirit, signs of the qualities of the commitments made by the Mas.
